This year, Mihelič Gallery is hosting two exhibitions as part of the Art Stays festival: a large spatial installation by Swiss artist Claude Kübler REGOLITH II, and the second part of the thematic group exhibition PRAH / DUST.

Claudia Kübler: REGOLITH II

A rounded gallery room is completely covered with hand-cast slabs of plaster, which break with a loud cracking sound under the weight of visitors as they make their own way in the room at the vernissage, and the pops and grind continue. The installation radically transforms during the entire duration of the exhibition and is lit solely by a pink and dark blue neon drawing. The title, ‘Regolith’, taken from weathering processes in geology, describes here a quasi-geomorphological process in fast motion.
